Bedding traders and manufacturers can label audited raw materials and finished products with the Downpass to prove the certified traceability of ethically procured feathers and down and their high quality standard.

The notary evaluates the audit and inspection reports of bedding dealers and manufacturers to approve their subsequent publication as audited companies. You can find a list of audited companies here.

Every Downpass label is a certificate that features a serial number. The assignment of numbers and administration is carried out independently by a notary.

Tested products can only be identified through this notary/lawyer's office by comparing the control number stored there with the control number (Downpass) featured on the product.

The notary will then inform the company of the inspection result. Sanctions for any violations range from monetary fines to seal withdrawal.
